Rebuilding a marketing function around the decisions that matter
How an education organisation moved from reactive marketing requests towards clearer priorities, roles and an operating rhythm.

The situation
The marketing team was working hard, but priorities arrived from many directions. Plans changed quickly, ownership blurred and the team had limited room to make strategic choices.
This was not a motivation problem. It was an operating problem: the organisation needed a clearer connection between business goals, marketing choices and the work entering the team.
The intervention
DMR worked with leaders and the marketing team to examine where decisions stalled, where expectations conflicted and which activities genuinely mattered. Together, we translated that diagnosis into priorities, clearer responsibilities and a workable planning cadence.
The work combined strategic facilitation with practical tools the team could continue using after the engagement.
The change
The engagement created a shared language for prioritisation and a more useful rhythm between leadership and marketing. Instead of treating every request as equally urgent, the team had a basis for deciding what to do, what to stop and what required a leadership call.
